A community of FRIENDS wanting to do something together for CEBU
To give a deeper context on the purpose and long-term vision of the Cebu Hub, we seek to improve the state of the city and the world. All of the Cebu Hub’s initiatives are guided by its four guiding pillars compounded in the acronym C.E.B.U.
- Citizenship Engagement – encourage active and selfless Cebuano youth in promoting positive change.
- Environmental Conservation – promote long term solution to environmental problems.
- Business Development – support businesses to start, grow, and increase community footprint.
- Universal Education – develop more informed citizens contributing to community developing, becoming the change they want to see in the world.
A project-oriented organization
Since our founding in 2014 the Cebu Hub has implemented projects that have touched on various issues that range from the circular economy, starting business, voter education, and public health. Every year the Cebu Hub engages in hub projects that looks to tackle these issues within our local community.
A part of the Global Shapers Community
Founded by the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional, and global challenges. With more than 14,000 members and alumni, the Global Shapers Community spans over 450 city-based hubs in 150 countries.
